Vessel Ops

The Vessel Ops After-School program gives students at Harbor School access to the school’s fleet of sailing and motor vessels. Meeting each Wednesday from 4-6 p.m., and more frequently during the warmer months, students go on trips and on-water excursions with their peers. Training activities include docking, boat handling, and navigation skills. Destination trips to specific points within New York Harbor include the Gowanus Canal, Erie Basin, and the Hudson River.

Students who participate in Vessel Ops After-School earn sea time hours for USCG licensing.
