Science & Peer Collaborative Teacher

With over 20 years of experience in education, I am deeply committed to inspiring the next generation of environmental stewards. As a Biology Teacher at the New York Harbor School, I view my role as more than a profession - it's a mission to cultivate an informed, environmentally conscious generation.

I am currently in my third Math for America (MfA) Master Teacher Fellowship. I also serve as a Peer Collaborative Teacher, a teacher leadership program that supports professional growth and instructional excellence. These roles reflect my dedication to both deepening my own practice and uplifting my peers through collaboration and shared leadership.

I specialize in creating transformative, hands-on learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom. My leadership in coordinating interdisciplinary field studies, such as the 9th-grade series exploring coastal resilience at Domino Park, exemplifies my commitment to integrating real-world environmental challenges into student learning.
