Our School Library Media Specialist
I’m the School Library Media Specialist at New York Harbor School, where I strive to make the library a place where all students feel seen, supported, and inspired. After a decade as an English and special education teacher, I did a program Teachers2Librarian for NYC Public School teachers looking to transition into the school library media specialist role and increase the supply of certified librarians in NYC! The move for me was motivated by a desire to focus on building individual connections, nurturing curiosity, and supporting lifelong learning.
Whether it's through helping students discover books they love, supporting research and media literacy, or creating space for creative and social activities like puzzles, games, and clubs, my goal is to foster a community of engaged, thoughtful learners.
When I’m not in the library, you’ll probably find me cuddling with my cat, traveling around New England, reading an intense book, biking around the city, watching Bravo, or exploring nature.
