I've been teaching science at Harbor since 2008 and have had various other roles including UFT Chapter Leader, SAIL Director (a student leadership program), Science Department Chair, and SLT member. I currently serve as a programmer, P-TECH Committee member, and Aquaculture and Marine Affairs PAC member.
I found Harbor School after a transit to Boston from NYC on Lettie G. Howard during grad school and fell in love with the mission of the school to bring maritime experience and environmental stewardship to NYC students. I graduated with a B.S. in Chemistry and minor in Sociology from Fordham University and a MA in Teaching Chemistry from NYU. After many years of trying to build a Chemistry curriculum around ocean science, I decided to pursue a degree in Oceanography. I graduated with a Masters in Oceanography from University of Rhode Island's Graduate School of Oceanography in 2023.
